ALEXIS ARTHUR -VS- KAREN STIDHAM SCOTT

4. On or about January 25, 2024 , Plaintiff was a passenger in a motor vehicle traveling west on State Road .

5. At that time and place, the Defendant, KAREN STIDHAM SCOTT, owned and operated a motor vehicle traveling west on State Road 436, directly behind the motor vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger, in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida.

6. At that time and place, Defendant negligently operated and/or maintained the motor vehicle when she rear-ended the motor vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger.

7. All incidents giving rise to this action occurred in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida.

8. Defendant owed a duty to Plaintiff to use reasonable care in the operation of her motor vehicle.

9. At said time and place, Defendant breached that duty when she rear-ended the motor vehicle in which Plaintiff was a passenger.

10. As a direct and proximate result of Defendant's negligence, Plaintiff suffered bodily injury including a permanent injury to the body as a whole, pain and suffering of both a physical and mental nature, disability, physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, inconvenience, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, aggravation of an existing disease or physical defect, activation of a latent disease or physical defect, expense of hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment, loss of earnings, loss of ability to earn money and loss of ability to lead and enjoy a normal life. The losses are either permanent or continuing and Plaintiff will suffer the losses in the future.

WHEREFORE, Plaintiff, ALEXIS ARTHUR, demands judgment for damages against Defendant, KAREN STIDHAM SCOTT, and other such relief deemed proper by the Court. Plaintiff also demands a jury trial on all issues SO triable.
