Job: OPs Manager - Legal Data Team Manager

Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and collaborative Legal Data Team Manager to lead our team of Legal Analysts in India. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our legal analyst team while maintaining strong alignment with UniCourt’s engineering, product, and business objectives.

You will oversee the prioritization of incoming requests, performance management, and serve as the key liaison across departments. Your work will directly impact our product delivery and the quality of our legal data services.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 & 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
2. 1. Manage, mentor, and support a team of Legal Analysts, building a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
3. 2. Set team objectives and measure performance through key metrics to ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
4. 3. Prioritize tasks across multiple workstreams, balancing long-term strategic goals with immediate operational needs.
6. 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
7. 1. Act as the bridge between the legal analyst team and other departments, including Engineering, Product, and Business.
8. 2. Participate in planning and coordination meetings to translate business and technical requirements into actionable tasks for the legal team.
9. 3. Ensure team insights and legal data priorities are well-integrated into UniCourt’s product development lifecycle.
11. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰 & 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
12. 1. Create and manage systems to track task assignments, request queues, and project milestones.
13. 2. Oversee workload distribution across the team, reallocating resources as needed to meet deadlines.
14. 3. Escalate challenges or unresolved issues to leadership or relevant subject-matter experts.
16. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
17. 1. Identify areas for process improvement to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual overhead.
18. 2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance legal workflows and optimize tooling used for legal data operations.

Qualifications

1. 1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university is required.

Required Skills

1. 1. 8+ years of experience, which should include 3+ years managing teams for data labelling or annotation. Experience in LegalTech, LPOs, or high-growth technology companies is a plus.
2. 2. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and balance competing priorities.
3. 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
4. 4. Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Productboard, Asana, or similar.
