UniCourt Product Release – New Court Data for South Carolina State Courts

UniCourt is committed to improving access to court records across state and federal courts, and making them more organized, structured, and meaningful for our clients and the public at large. We provide bulk access to normalized court data via our Legal Data APIs to our diverse clients, ranging from law firms to litigation support firms, litigation funders, financial institutions, insurance firms, news agencies, government agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits, investigators, and consumers.

Earlier this month, we announced that we onboarded new court records for Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma Supreme Court, Oklahoma Court of Tax Review, Oklahoma District Courts, and many more courts. As we continue to increase the reach of our court coverage across state and federal (PACER) courts, we’re excited to share that we’ve onboarded South Carolina state court records into our legal database.

UniCourt clients can now get the court data they need from South Carolina trial courts across the Palmetto State, including Bond Courts, Magistrate Courts, Courts of General Sessions, Courts of Common Pleas, Master in Equity, Small Claims Courts, and more. They can also access court records for federal cases from the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit without ever having to login to PACER.

With this new release, UniCourt clients can search through over 1.3 million civil and criminal cases in South Carolina trial courts, and they can pull all the data they need on the lawyers, law firms, judges, and parties involved in litigation, as well as docket level information for case filings. In addition to searching cases within UniCourt, our clients can also download court documents on-demand for all of the South Carolina courts in our legal database that provide online access to documents.

Here are some of the largest county court systems in South Carolina that are now available in UniCourt:
