How current is the information in your court database?

UniCourt updates cases based on an intelligent algorithm to ensure that cases that have more active dockets are updated more regularly. You can also update cases on-demand within UniCourt to get the latest information from the courts.

How long do records remain available within your case search?

Cases, docket information, and court documents that are available in UniCourt’s CrowdSourced Library™ via our application and API will remain available for you to download in the future, unless they become sealed and are removed from our legal database.

How can I search for court cases?

You can search for lawsuits within UniCourt by case number, case name, party, attorney, law firm, and judge. You can also easily narrow your search results by jurisdiction and courthouse, case type, filing date, dollar amount, and docket tags, such as motion for summary judgment, motion to dismiss, motion for peremptory challenge, motion to compel, and much more.

Does UniCourt provide access to PACER cases?

You can access all federal civil and criminal cases available within PACER through UniCourt. We provide you with access to court data from U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, U.S. Courts of Appeal, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation, and more.
