Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead a team of 5+ QA Engineers.
2. Engage in requirements discussions with Product and Engineering teams.
3. Meet the product quality standards and present the same to the QA and Product Managers.
4. Improve the process of monitoring, reporting, and managing test runs and test results.
5. Design, develop, review and execute test plans and test cases along with team specific QA members.
6. Implement functional/acceptance tests, integration tests, regression tests, performance tests, security tests in different parts of the product as necessary.
7. Write automation tests in JavaScript, TypeScript, and shell scripts for API, web, and mobile tests.
8. Build necessary libraries and frameworks to manage the building of new tests or adopt the necessary tools to build on top of.
9. Reporting of the testing cycle progress, product quality, and ready for release checklist.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
2. 6+ years of relevant QA experience.

Required Skills

1. Should have managed 3+ QA engineers.
2. Excellent knowledge of SQL and scripting.
3. Experience writing automation tests using Python or other programming languages.
4. Experience adopting a variety of tools for performance tests (K6, Locust, JMeter, etc.), UI tests (Selenium, Playwright, etc.), API tests (Karate, etc.), data integrity tests, and security tests.
5. Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
6. Experience using project management tools like Jira.
7. Excellent problem solving and algorithmic skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
