We are proud to announce that our very own Josh Blandi<\/a> was featured in a two part Forbes interview with Mary Juetten<\/a> earlier this week. In part one of the interview, Josh and Mary covered several topics ranging from what it\u2019s like to be a legaltech founder to favorite startup stories and more.<\/p>\n

Here are a couple of the questions and answers from the interview:<\/p>\n

Mary Juetten: What problem are you solving?<\/h2>\n

Josh Blandi:The problem is that court records are siloed and each court does things their own way. Each court stores and organizes records differently, uses different technologies, and has its own nomenclature. Retrieving data from the various courts is a cumbersome, time-consuming, and expensive. We\u2019ve created an automated solution to aggregate and standardize court data across jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

Simply put, we\u2019re organizing court records to make them universally accessible and useful. We\u2019re connecting businesses and consumers to the records they need and enable them to tap into the mountain of public data generated daily for analytics, business intelligence and development, background checks<\/a>, research and many other innovative uses.<\/p>\n

Juetten: Often people say you need to be an attorney to run a company in legal tech. What are your thoughts?<\/h2>\n

Blandi: From our experience, to run a LegalTech company, you don\u2019t need to be an attorney. Domain expertise is less important than problem-solving, and engineers are good problem solvers. In Silicon Valley, physicists and engineers rule, and that will be the case one day soon in the LegalTech sphere, which underscores the importance of having people who know how to work with lots of data and are good problem solvers.<\/p>\n
