Improving access to the law by making court records and legal data more accessible and useful is core to UniCourt\u2019s mission as a company. We\u2019re dedicated to making the law available to the public and providing our clients with Legal Data as a Service (LDaaS) via our APIs so they can leverage bulk access to the mountain of court data generated everyday for business development and intelligence, analytics<\/a>, underwriting, case research<\/a> and tracking, background checks<\/a>, investigations, machine learning models, and process automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we continue to expand our court coverage for federal (PACER) and state courts<\/a> across the United States, we\u2019re excited to share that we have onboarded new courts for Cook County, IL<\/a>. Cook County is the largest county in Illinois with over 5.1 million residents, representing over 40% of the population of the entire state, and it\u2019s also the second most populous county in the US only behind Los Angeles. Onboarding Cook County is yet another step we are taking to cover as much of the US population as possible to improve access to court records for attorneys, businesses, and consumers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our clients can now access a wide-range of case types for Cook County court records, including contract, property, personal injury, professional negligence, foreclosure, medical malpractice, product liability, and much more. As with other cases included in our system, our clients can also get the basic case information they need on the dockets, parties, and attorneys involved in litigation. However, court documents are not available for Cook County within UniCourt, as the courts have not made these records available online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the Cook County courts you can now access with UniCourt:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First Municipal District – Richard J. Daley Center<\/a><\/li>
  2. Second Municipal District – Skokie Courthouse<\/a><\/li>
  3. Third Municipal District – Rolling Meadows Courthouse<\/a><\/li>
  4. Fourth Municipal District – Maywood Courthouse<\/a><\/li>
  5. Fifth Municipal District – Bridgeview Courthouse<\/a><\/li>
  6. Sixth Municipal District – Markham Courthouse<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    In addition to accessing the case information they need, our clients can now begin leveraging their favorite UniCourt features with Cook County courts, such as our easy to use search tools, case tracking<\/a>, automated court searches, and more. And for clients interested in getting bulk access to court data, they can use our Legal Data API to download the structured data<\/a> they need to augment their business development efforts and power their internal applications through automating process workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
