UniCourt Kicks Off Legal Innovation Contest

Legal innovation means different things to different people, but at its core, legal innovation is about trying something new and cultivating a culture of change to carry innovative ideas forward. 

UniCourt has been a market mover on the use and adoption of Legal Data APIs to bring about innovation in legal, finance, insurance, investigations, news media, and many more industries. We believe in creating a legal data ecosystem where leading innovators can use our APIs to build their own products, services, and automated processes to disrupt and bring about change in their respective industries. 

To that end, we’re excited to announce that we’re officially kicking off our first ever API giveaway as a part of our Legal Innovation Contest! 

Three lucky winners will receive access to our APIs to bring their innovations to life. The 1st place winner will receive 10,000 API calls, 2nd place will receive 5,000 API calls, and 3rd place will receive 1,000 API calls.

Who’s Invited to Participate in UniCourt’s Legal Innovation Contest?

Our Legal Innovation Contest is open to all participants, excluding current UniCourt customers.

We encourage anyone from the legal industry, including legal technology startups, law firms, legal operations teams, law students, legal aid organizations, and other legal innovators to participate and submit their ideas for the next great innovation powered by APIs. 

UniCourt also provides Legal Data as a Service (LDaaS) to a wide range of industries outside of legal and we welcome submissions from innovators working in FinTech, InsurTech, PropTech, and other industries who have proposals for new ways to leverage litigation data through APIs. 

How Do I Participate in UniCourt’s Legal Innovation Contest?

The first step to participate in our Legal Innovation Contest is to follow UniCourt on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. Already following us? Great! You’re already on your way to participating in the giveaway contest. 

After following UniCourt on social media, email your innovative solution for using our Legal Data APIs to contest@unicourt.com before 11:59 PM EST on April 14, 2022 with the following information:

• A one sentence overview of your idea and how it will bring about innovation in your industry. 
• A detailed description of how your idea will incorporate the use of UniCourt’s APIs to bring your innovation to life. Your detailed description can be as long as you would like (but no novels please!). 
• Tell us your (1) first and last name, (2) the company you work for or school you’re attending, (3) your job title or position.

Once submissions have closed on April 14th, our team will review all of the proposed solutions we’ve received and select finalists by the end of April. If you are selected as a finalist, we’ll reach out to you to schedule an interview with you to learn more about your innovative solution and how you plan on using APIs to make it a reality. All finalists must participate in an interview in order to be eligible to win the contest.
